Day 1 - The Journey to Wuchang University of Technology

Hi guys! How's life? I was not able to post yesterday due to some internet problems! I'll try my best to post when I am free! Let's start concluding on Day 1 - The Journey to Wuchang University of Technology!

It was a really long and tiring trip to Wuchang University of Technology which took almost 8hours to reach. Fortunately, our flight was SilkAir and not budget airline. As usual, before departing, there will always be an emotional scene when parents sent their children off but this time seems to be an exception. Parents were all sending their children off happily. I think that parents thought we are old and independent enough to take good care of ourselves which is good as I doubt anyone want their parents to worry while they are having fun in China. Anyway, the more important thing is that I got my seat 19C and am finally leaving for China!! :D

I did not manage to get the window view but at least I was not in the middle! An hour later, meal was served!

I had no choice but to order omelette with sausage as the other plate was some spicy stuff and I could not bear the spiciness. Anyway, the flight reminded me of my flight to Vietnam with my friends during my secondary school trip. Most of them must be studying hard for their A levels this year while I am enjoying myself during this OIP trip to Wuhan. I really pity them and hope that they are able to do well for their A levels! :D
At long last, after 5 hour of flight, we arrived in China, Wuhan!!!

It is really very different in Wuhan where there are much lesser high rise building compared to Singapore.

Moreover, the journey to Wuchang University of Technology is really spectacular. Sitting on the bus, I can hear more than 10 times of honking throughout the journey which cannot be seen in Singapore. At long last, we arrived at the university. By then, everyone looked haggard after the long journey.

We are to settle down in our hostel, have our own dinner and most important of all buying mineral water! Buying mineral water may seems easy but carrying it back to hostel from the super market is really not a joke. As I am not a person who goes to the gym daily to train up, bringing 8 litres of water from the super market to our hostel really exhaust me. 2 bottles of:

It made me came to a realization about how am I going to survive in National Service (NS). Anyway, it's still 2 years away from it! Hence, for now, I can still enjoy this trip and myself!

Lastly, something not to forget, my first Wuhan meal that I had! It is called 'Beef Noodles'. The portion is pretty big and the cost of it is only $7 RMB which is S$1.40!

That's all for day 1 I hope to have a better day 2 today! :D
