Day 17 - A visit to Biopharm

Finally, it's our common test day! I woke up really early to continue revising as I am afraid the test will not be as easy. I bet most of the students did the same thing! We had studied so long just for this paper! I hope everyone effort can be paid off and that our lecturers are lenient in marking our scripts! For I think that we are learning to adapt to this new climate and environment and studying here may not be easy for some of us! After a long excruciating 1.5hour, our common test is over! The burden that we had been carrying for the past few days are now gone! I can smell the sense of freedom again! I am not sure if I did well but at least I tried my best. It's no use crying over spilled milk. I just wish that I am able to do well for the 2 modules which I am studying here as this trip is expensive and I will not want to put my parents' money to waste!

In the noon, we had an industrial trip to visit the Biopharm! This is the first time visiting a place where medicine are manufactured! Moreover, we get to enter the manufacturing place to look at those machines! Before we enter, we had to wear quite a number of extra garments so that we will not contaminate the place with bacteria! Although many people said that China things are not safe, I find this Biopharm a pretty safe place where medicine can be purchased as their cleanliness standard is quite high or may be equivalent to Singapore ones. Moreover, they explained to us the process of manufacturing the medicine where they uses pure distilled water for it. This shows that their standards in making medicine is quite high. Next, we continuing seeing different which include the 300ml bottle. It is said that this bottle contain platelets that help in blood clotting so that people will not die from excessive bleeding. The journey in the factory lasted around half an hour but it was a worthwhile journey as we get to see the way medicine are manufactured. Furthermore, it teaches me that not everything in China are as bad as what most Singaporeans said as this Biopharm has a high standard of hygiene and I believed that the medicine produced will be safe for usage. Lastly, I would like to thank Dr Tan too. Her job is to mainly make sure every single students is not missing. However, she went to an even further extent to translate everything in Chinese to English. I feel that it is really noble of her to do that as it is not part of her job but she did it willingly. Personally, I find as a great lecturer who really took care of every single needs of her students. Thank you Dr Tan.

That's all for the day! Hope that tomorrow will be as interesting as well! :D
