China is a place full of interesting places to visit! Currently, the places that I visited so far are Wudang Mountain, Cola factory and the town! The recent place that I visited is one of the well known places of attraction in Wuhan, the Red Cliff!
Although it rain on both days, my mood was not ruined by it as this is the first time I get to see Red Cliff where the wars between The Three Kingdom occurred! For myself, I had watched both Red Cliff 1 and Red Cliff 2 movies and I am impressed by the military tactics they used to try to win the war. This is the first time I get to see their base with my own eyes! At the Red Cliff, it was the fight between Zhou Yu and Cao Cao. One example of the tactics Zhuge Liang used is by using the wind. As Cao Cao had chain up all their boats to stop motion sickness, Zhuge Liang had to think of a way to defeat it. Together with fire arrow and the east wind, he destroyed the whole fleet of ships of Cao Cao with ease! There many other tactics used in the battle and I find it interesting to know the way they fight and strategy used!
First, when we reached the Red Cliff, we went to check-in in our hotel and lighten our luggage. As soon as I stepped into the room, the first thing that I did was to check the drainage system of the toilet! Fortunately, it is functioning well! Also, the hotel beautiful with a television that could watch movies and assess many channels! I must say that this hotel is way better than the previous one! Here are some of the pictures of the 4-star hotel!!!
Next, we went for our lunch and explore the Red Cliff, Zhou Yu's base! I heard from the tour guide that the reason why there is nothing much on Cao Cao is that Cao Cao is a tyrant that brings harm to the country. Hence, the people in China hate him and do not have structure constructed in memory of Cao Cao.
None of these structures has Cao Cao name in it! This teaches me that we are actually accounted for everything and action we do! Like Zhou Yu, he did his very best in fighting the war and the people admired and respect him. Till now, he is well respected by the people in China. They even built a tall structure of him in the Red Cliff in memorial of him!
We continued our journey through the Red Cliff exploring many other fascinating stuffs! We get to see the different arrow heads used, ships used, olden coins and weapons! Usually, such things can only be seen on television. However, now, not only do I get to see them, I am able to even touch some of it!
At the Red Cliff, I also get to see the place where Zhuge Liang stay and took a picture with his statue! He is a impressive that uses many tactics to win the war. Even though Cao Cao had a much more larger army than Zhou Yu, he is able to help Zhou Yu to win the battle! I hope to be like someone like him of great wisdom and to use it to serve the country, Singapore!
From the tour guide, it is said that Zhuge Liang stayed here in the past!
Picture of us with Zhuge Liang statue!
Next, we also many weapons that are used to kill people who committed crime! I find that people in the past are tortured to death as their weapons are mostly sharp and used for torturing people. Fortunately, in Singapore, they just hung the people who are sentence to death and there are no more torturing of prisoners! Also, I heard from Ms Mikia lecture that prisoners that are sentence to death will not be cane! Thus, I feel that I am fortunate to live in the present of the past!
Here are images of some of the weapons!
Here are the other pictures taken there!
Olden type of shops, wine cup and books!
The four beauties during the Three Kingdom!
Other images!
The modern me in the old umbrella!
Lastly, the exit door which is pretty heavy to push!
That's all for day 1 in Red Cliff! For day 2, we are suppose to take a 5hour boat ride to explore different islands of Lu Shui Lake! This lake is really huge and there is no end to it!
The clear water with the reflection which gives me the sense of nature that cannot be found in many places of Singapore!
Something that caught my attention there is this plate of water. It is believed by the people there that if you wash your hand in it and rub your hand on the handle, your bad luck from 2012 will be gone! I find that the people here are quite superstitious as there are many of such things in Wudang Mountain too! Personally, I believed that if we want anything, we must work hard to achieve it and not believe in such stuff without working hard for your goal.
This is a place where they sell information on our ancestors. Unfortunately, they did not have mine at that time and I did not know what had happened to my ancestors years ago.
Next, we explore other islands there which include Lucky Island where I tried the thrilling ride! At first, I am pretty concerned about the safety issues since the ride is at the edge of the hill and can be dangerous! Also, China rides may not be as safe as those in Singapore! However, the uncle assured us that this ride is completely safe and we will not need to worry about it. As the ride cost only $5 yuan and does not require us to queue up, I decided to pluck out my courage and give it a shot! It is my first time riding something that can turn exactly 360 degree! At first, I was pretty nervous. Slowly, I started to get use to the ride and began feeling better. This ride is actually pretty safe. It teaches that I should not believe in the rumours about China that I heard. I can only judge if after I experienced it by myself or I may be wrongly accusing it.
Lastly, we went to watch a performance before heading back. The performance was alright at first. It was only until the 'female' singer came out that caused all the disputes. The 'female' was actually a guy! Why did a guy wants to become a girl? Shouldn't he appreciate what his parents gave him? These questions kept pondering in my mind. I felt sorry for them that they did not appreciate what their parents gave. Our mother had gone through all the pain trying to give birth to us yet that 'guy' brought harm to his body so as to become a girl. I find it inappropriate and it disgusts me. After the performance, the tour guide also informed me that both the singer and the Master of Ceremonies (MC) are actually guys! I feel that they should never do that but should appreciate the gender their parents gave. Personally, I will never do such things. My mother had gone through all the pain in giving birth to me. I should cherish this body that is given to me and not to bring harm to it!

That's all for Red Cliff! The adventure to Red Cliff was great with many new experiences! However, the common test will soon be held 2 days later on Wednesday! Hope everyone is able to study well today since there are no lectures and hope that they will all do well. :0
The part about the 'guy' will definately be imprinted in everyone's mind!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI guess until we reach adulthood, we'll still be laughing about the incident!!
